SOLICITORS FOR DRIVING WITH NO INSURANCE

It is an offence to drive a vehicle without at least having third party insurance in place to drive that particular vehicle.

This is a serious offence as the effects that can arise from a failure to drive without insurance, can be severe.

As well as a maximum fine of £5,000.00, a person convicted of this offence is at risk of discretionary disqualification from driving and an endorsement on their driving licence of between 6 to 8 penalty points.

Whilst there will be certain cases where there is a deliberate act of driving, knowing full well there was no insurance in place, some people may be driving under the belief that they are insured only to find they are not. In such cases appropriate mitigation can help to minimise the effects of such a conviction.
